Did this MB come in a pre-built system like from Dell, HP or any other major computer manufacturer? They usually lock their BIOS to cut down on service. After some digging I found out it was the motherboard itself. This model seems to totally lack those controls in the BIOS.
Since decent P55 motherboards cost 200$ right now it doesn't make much sense to replace it, so I'm just gonna get an i5 4690k with a decent Z97 motherboard.
